MEET THE CREATORS

  • ISABEL MENDES

    2027 + Human Physiology

    Owner of IzzyMendyes_Art

IzzyMendyes Art was started in 2021 in the height of the pandemic, sitting on the floor of my shoebox of a room. Isolated from everyone and with limited art supplies, I turned to digital art to pass my time. My business started as solely commission-based, but has grown vastly since then, to include a wide array of hand-designed artistic products .

  • AZARIA GONZALES

    2027 + Graphic Design

    Owner of Soporia

I hope to bring a sense of magic and joy to what people might otherwise see as mundane parts of their routine. I want to inspire people to bring more creativity and express themselves, even when it comes to everyday items.

  • MIRANDA QUIMBAR

2026 + Math and Computer Science

    Owner of madeby.miris

I love creating just to create something. I tend to get stuck making sure everything is perfect, but the good thing about creating something is that it doesn’t have to be perfect. I can simply focus on making something that I like and enjoy the process without worrying about the final product.

  • EILEEN LEE

    2028 + Business

    Owner of Eileen’s Lil Monsters

I hope to evoke joy and inspiration to other people as they look at or buy my items. I want them to be inspired to keep creating. The most rewarding part has been being able to finish these projects and give them to people who receive it with a smile on their face. I really like seeing people smiling after seeing what I make.

  • NIKHITHA YELUKATI

    2026 + Applied Business Analytics

    Owner of Nikitha Yelukati Art

I am a visual artist specializing in textured contemporary paintings. My work includes abstract florals, waves, portraits, and celestial inspired pieces all created using the impasto technique to bring depth and dimension to the canvas. I have always been creating since I was a child but more recently got into painting in 2021 during Covid. I initially started selling to family and friends then joined a gallery in Natick Mall where I sold to customers and got more exposure. Painting has always been a passion of mine and I'm excited to share it with BU.

  • PAIGE SWEENEY

    2027 + Painting

    Owner of Paige Marie Art

I hope to share a sense of serenity and curiosity for trees and nature through painting and drawing. I want my audience to notice trees more deeply and evoke a push for conservation and protection of our trees and environment.

  • RACHEL ZHENG

    2027 +  Business Administration

    Owner of Florify Made

I hope to share a sense of joy and happiness that comes from receiving something handmade with love and color, something that brightens your day. Each piece is crafted with care, and I want everyone who receives one to feel truly valued and special, like it was made just for them.

  • JULIA LAWRENCE-RIDDELL

    2027 + Painting and Psychology

  • SUSAN SO

    2027 + Psychology

    Owner of Blushie.25

Through Blushie, I want people—especially young women—to feel seen, cared for, and celebrated. Beauty can feel intimidating or pressured, but I want Blushie to be a soft, comforting space where customers feel understood and inspired to express themselves. My hope is that every package feels like a small act of love.

  • AVERY FOX

    2028 + Journalism

    Owner of Avery’s Amigurumi Crafts

I hope everyone sees the attention to detail I put into my orders. I try my hardest to make sure it fits everyone's needs and not only reflects their interests but my own flare as well. My ultimate goal is just to make items everyone loves and enjoys wearing or having in their space.

  • KIARA ROJAS

    2026 + Film/TV & Visual Arts

    Owner of Art by KR

The most rewarding part of my creative process is when a project or series finally comes to fruition. To be able to see a project that was once a seed of an idea become a tangible thing that I can hold and showcase to others feels liberating. Even through the challenges that come with experiencing artist block, I still find joy in the conversations and reflections that my art sparks within the community.

  • MIYA PETERSON

2028 + International Relations and Environmental Analysis and Policy

    Owner of Miya Makes

Built on a commitment to community and craftsmanship, Miya’s Makes proudly sources all materials from fellow small businesses. Every piece is made with care: earring metals are 100% hypoallergenic, and all amigurumi designs are quality-tested by sample buyers to ensure durability, comfort, and charm. Creating amigurumi or fun jewelry always brings me joy, and I hope that my crafts can also bring my customers happiness, no matter how small.

  • KARINA ALMONTE

    2027 + Accounting

As a creator, I make every piece intentionally. I believe that everything I make has a special someone that would love to have it because it's unique to their personality.

  • MELISSA APANECATL

    2029 + Psychology

    Owner of Mels Inventory

I have always been a true believer of supporting small and locally owned businesses. With that being said, I hope to evoke genuine connections with people through my creations. • RAHMATULLAH TRAWALLEY

    2028 + Mechanical Engineering

    Owner of Rahma’s Crochet Haven
